Website refresh for small businesses

A website refresh improves the site you already have instead of rebuilding it: clearer wording, easier booking, a better mobile layout and details that match your Google Business Profile. I quote a fixed price in writing before any work starts, and you see a free mockup first.

What a refresh can include

  • Website improvements: clearer headline and service descriptions, a better booking or contact link, and a cleaner mobile layout.
  • A Google Business Profile refresh, so your hours, services, photos and booking link are accurate and match your site.
  • Photos compressed and reordered so pages load faster and your best work comes first.
  • Consistent details across your site, Google and Instagram.

Two common ways to scope it

Every business is different, so scope is agreed individually. In general:

  • A lighter refresh: focused website improvements plus a quick Google Business Profile refresh.
  • A fuller refresh: more comprehensive website improvements, a full Google Business Profile optimization and adjustments based on what your business needs. Ongoing monthly care is optional and agreed separately.

How pricing and payment work

I don't publish a price list here because the right scope depends on your site. Here is how it works:

  • You get a fixed price in writing, with the scope and delivery date, before work starts.
  • For one-time projects, 50% starts the work. The remaining 50% is due after completion and your approval, before the final version goes live.
  • Monthly care, if you want it, is separate from the one-time project.
  • Domains and hosting, if you pay for them, are separate costs.

How a refresh project runs

  1. Message START on Instagram, or email me.
  2. I review your current site and profiles and build a free mockup.
  3. We agree the scope, price and timeline in writing, and I confirm what access I need to your site and Google profile.
  4. I make the changes, you review them and approve, and then the final version goes live.

Is a refresh the right choice?

If your site's structure still works, usually yes. If most of the site would need to be replaced, a redesign may be the better fit. My guide to refresh vs. redesign explains how to decide.

Who I work with

I work with small businesses and independent brands: beauty pros and salons, restaurants and other local businesses. Beauty is one of my focus areas, so see website design for beauty salons and studios.

Frequently asked questions

Can I improve my website on a small budget?

Often, yes. A focused refresh targets the few changes that matter most. I'll quote an exact scope and price in writing, with no obligation.

What do you need from me?

Access to your current site, your booking or contact link, your latest photos and details, and access to your Google Business Profile if it's part of the project.

Do you take over my Google Business Profile?

No. You stay the owner. I work through the access you grant, and you can remove it any time.

Is monthly care required?

No. It's optional and agreed separately from the one-time project.

Do you guarantee results?

No. A clearer site and an accurate profile make it easier for customers to understand and book, but I can't guarantee bookings or search rankings.
